What is revenge? Is it as cold as everyone claims, or is it hope, hiding behind an ugly mask because it knows how dangerous it is? Maybe that’s the truth. Artemis Caddell has always believed that revenge was secretly hope, because it was easier to say that you were getting your revenge than allowing yourself something as dangerous as hope.
Artemis was imprisoned for fourteen years, trained to be a weapon, and now she can only focus on revenge. Revenge on the man that raised her and revenge on the people that threw her away.
